Fuel supply pressure? 2001 E320 CDI

Anybody know the answer to this fellows question?

Dear Roy,

Hopefully you can easily answer my question:

I have an engine from E 320 CDI 2001 mod. 6 cyl in line

and as far as I know it has a fuel feed pump in the tank supplying
diesel fuel and line goes direct to fuel filter. ( and then delivery pump, cut-off valve, high pressure pump, rail and injectors and back to fuel filter before cooling and returning to tank)

Do you know the fuel pressure before entering the fuel filter ?
Is it around 4,5 Bar ( 65 PSI) ?

I have converted two engines for marine use and would be on the safe side and avoid too high pressure into the fuel filter in order to avoid any leakage.

Look forward to hearing from you.

kind rgds John Blank in Norway.

PS. I have tried to get this data from MB headquarter here
without any luck.

On many VW diesels the in tank transfer pump is only ~8 PSI, but flows a lot of volume.
