Overboost switch

Can this switch be bypassed Safely on a 603?

I'd want to have a boost gauge hooked up first. To bypass it just unhook the connector. Or re-route the boost lines to bypass the changeover valve.

I have high doubts my turbo is boosting very much at all if any. I have the worlds slowest 300TD....

If you're just doing a test eliminate the whole overboost system: Re route the vacuum lines to send manifold pressure right to the ALDA. I would hook up a boost gauge too, you really want to know what things are doing.

Because a line goes to the transmission modulator on the fender. It should firm up shifts when under boost. If you're doing a test remove everything from the ALDA system, then add things back one at a time.

I think with a turbo problem I have a vac issue I need to track down. but the turbo is higher up. burning more fuel without it. Thanks!

You really shouldnt without egt/boost gauge.

1987's dont have p2 flaps?
