1982 300D A/C Recirc pod and flap location

I have a question about the recirc flap.

All of the vacuum pods are shot. I have the A/C blowing through the center and end vents in the dash.

I want to tie down the recirc flap so I can get a faster cool down in the cabin.

When I look in through the glove box area, which pod and linkage controls the recirc flap?

I see two, one up by the fire wall, and one on the far right near the passenger side fender area.

When I get money, I plan on replacing all the pods and switchover valves.

Thanks!

I've seen reference to someone's DIY about modding these.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=295241

To maximize re-circ of in-car air and minimize outside it looks like you need to open the in-car flap and close the outside air flap. Going from memory, I think the outboard one is the in car flap (pulls air from the footwell?) and the firewall is the outside flap (pulls air from the cowling?)

Per the diagram, maybe the color of the vacuum lines will help? Green shows in car, red shows outside.

Then the center vent element must be working properly. Unless you rigged the center flap open.

There is no vaccuum present to the HVAC currently. The Center flap was rigged by the PO.
