W115 1976 240D Oil Cooler

Appanretly Mercedes does not make this part number anymore.

"Bad news....this part is no longer available.
Part Number I got was 114-501-11-01....maybe on line you can find something."

Some sites want $1200.. lol... I don't have money like that. However I like keeping it all original. If anyone can find one for this model of car I would very very much appriciate it, I will pay any fees to ship it and any junk yard fees. All the junk yards in Canada are horrible, the cars are rotted to crap, I'd just end up in the same position if I find one here.

All of you have been more then helpful, a special thanks to diesel911 for his knowledge and advice. For now its bypassed so theres no rush on the part at all. I just eventually want to restore the part so its all original.

Thanks!

I would look for a cooler from a 115 300D.
I'm not sure but I suspect MB used the same cooler on both diesels, the hoses might be different though.
One feature of the W115 oil coolers I have seen is they have a drain plug on them, allowing one to drain ALL the oil when doing oil changes, something later cars didn't have.
