Question Torque converter

Can you drain the oil from the torque converter on a 1986 126.135 (300SDL)
If so do you access from the rear of the torque or the front. So far I'm unable to locate any drain plug.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers
Big Dan

The plug faces the back of the engine, i.e. towards the front of the car. There should be a grille at the bottom front of the trans. Some require this grille be removed or theres enough room to unscrew the drain bolt.

Use a New Sealing Ring "Washer" [each]

on both the T.C. Drain Plug and the Tranny Pan Drain Plug.

The arrow (#2) is pointing to the T.C. Drain Plug
[rotated so that it faces DOWN],
Visible in the slightly larger opening in the Grill in the bottom of the Tranny Case.

(Plug number 1 [Arrow]is the Tranny pan Drain Plug)

MAKE SURE you only rotate the Engine/Tranny in it's Normally Driven Direction,
When "Turning" the T.C. around to access the Drain Plug.

(Clean out the "Allen" "hex insert" heads of the Bolts/Plugs VERY well before
the procedure)

Do not Over Torque the Plugs.Upon re- installation.
