A Quick cure for the Monovalve Blues

You say you can only get hot air out of your vents. You say your not sure if your A/C puts out like a highschool cheerleader. You say you think the A/C should be colder. You say a multimeter sounds too dangerous for you. One quick way to take the Monovalve out of the equation is at your handy-dandy local hardware store. Takes about 2 minutes to install in the summer and remove in the winter. A 1/4 inch U-bolt. It completely stops the flow of hot coolant to the heater core. For only $19.99 I'll send you this handy-dandy instruction booklet. Order now and I'll throw in a free bottle of DAWN detergent. If you have a diesel, you're gonna need it. for 3.99, you can get a plastic hose pinchoff tool at most autoparts stores... it has a ratcheting handle lock... just a tad quicker... not as permanent though...

Or get a shut-off ball valve at hardware store instead for about $4 and splice it inline with 2 hose clamps.

I find the 3/4" pex fittings match up very close to 5/8 heater hose.

Sorry you missed the humor in my post. Point is, there are a few cheap ways you can be assured that your cold a/c air is not competing with rogue heater core air when trying to get the most frost from your vents. Some jet skis come with a hose clanp to pinch off intake water that would work and mcphee's idea will work but it takes some cutting and fitting. I have a cpvc cutoff in my commuter car.
