W124 Mono wiper issue

Hello All.
ARRRG. Mono wiper isn't working properly. I think the gear is stripped. Haven't taken it apart yet. Any suggestions? It doen't move in and out at the proper points, hits on the passenger side.

I checked the forums. Looks like the gear is $100 bucks from odometer gears.

Thanks in advance.

is the 92 equipped with the updated wiper? I understand the older wiper has issues...

Might be cheaper to get a good used assembly from someone in the parts forum.

Were there two types of monowipers?

If it doesn't extend/retract, replace w/ shorter blades as a temporary solution. W124 uses 24" blade, 22 should work, if not 18.
