Daydreaming = C Class Diesel 4-Matic possible to build?

I've just been daydreaming some possible engine/chassis/drivetrain combinations, and wondered if this combo is even possible. Perhaps it's already available in Europe, but I'm not aware of the model.

Has MB ever offered a C-Class (either W202 or W203) with a diesel engine and 4-matic drivetrain, preferably with a manual transmission?

I figure that if it's a model that MB ever offered, even in another country, it should be possible to reproduce here. I close my eyes and picture myself driving one of those W203 hatchbacks with a turbodiesel, 6-speed, and all wheel drive.

The W202 didn't have 4Matic, and the W203 didn't have 4Matic on the diesel models. If you're satisfied with only RWD and want a diesel engine in a C-class, and have enough time, money and knowhow, you can put an OM642 V6 from a 07-09 E320 Bluetec in the W203 since the same engine was used in the W203 late in the production run. With enough fabrication, even an OM648 from an 05-06 E320 CDI should work. There may be issues of changing an engine to a different fuel type when it comes to registering a car, I don't know how they'll handle that in MO. There's a guy here in Houston with a W211 wagon who put an OM648 in it, but he's had no trouble registering it from what I hear.

There was a guy who had a 1994 C220 diesel listed on Craigslist not far from here; I had a chat with him on the phone and he claimed to be the original owner, wife's car, low mileage...etc. Kind of put up a flag in my head so I did not go look at it; I am quite sure that W202 diesels were not sold in Canada so I suspect he imported it from Europe, and wanted $11K for it. I just went to look on CL but the listing has expired.

I read somewhere recently that 4Matic and diesel is a combination that MB does not offer on cars for some technical design reasons.
