w210 td rubber couple from cold side turbo to intercooler pipe..

1999 e300 turbo diesel

whats the best way to change that rubber coupling that goes from the i/c pipe to the turbo. the metat i/c pipe is bolted really well with about 3-4 bolts and the removing the turbo doesnt sound like fun either. is there any tricks to replacing that part?

I think the question is confusing as the turbo is connected to the exhaust.

If you mean the 3" short length of hose that connects the i/c to the 3" pipe feeding the IM you should be able to get to it by removing the bumper belly pan. Might need to remove the radiator crossmember to get the rad and i/c to move enoguh to help getting the hose off.

no that metal ic piping that is attatched to the rubber coupling is bolted in 4 tight hard to get places. its a very secure pipe. its that or remove the turbo from the manifold from what i can see.

can just the cold side of the turbo be removed without unbolting the whole turbo from the exhaust manifold?
