Sometime it's the little things
Today I replaced the totally rotten window squeegees in my 240. It felt great to know that I'll know longer have to worry about water running down the inside of my doors and continuing to rot the bottom of the doors. The bottoms are pretty rusty, but that's the only rust on the car. Not to bad for a 35 year old car. No one will ever know that I did it, but I do.

I say that all the time about little things I do on the cars.
I actually need to replace those on my 240D. What's the job like?

It's not hard. You have to remove the door panels on the inside, and the side view mirror and the trim on the outside of the door. The actual squeegees are held onto the door with metal pinch clips. New squeegees are dealer only and are fairly expensive. So I found some good ones in the pick'n'pull. Got all 4 doors worth for $10, instead of 20-something a piece. There are 8 total, one on each side of the window.

Good to know, I will keep that in mind on my next trip to the PNP. Thanks.

In my w126 and w124 I know those were basically part of the door panel - kept getting unclipped and making me re-do the whole DP
