I was wondering if anybody might have the part number for the o-ring that goes on the rack dampener bolt. My new bolt did not come with one and I'd like to replace it along with the bolt.. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response...I really appreciate the help. It is for an '82 300d-turbo. I'm having a little trouble finding that part number online. Is there anything special about that particular o-ring besides the size? If not, would anybody happen to know the correct size? Thanks again!
After seeing how brittle the O-rings were that I replaced on the pipe that is part of the oil filter housing cover, I'd like to have one on hand for this bolt when I pull it out.

I got mine from the dealer for $7.

I didn't notice anything special about it. It seemed to be a regular o-ring. Even if my memory fails me and it's a d-ring or a short tadpole ring gasket you should be able to get away with a simple o-ring from McMaster of the same diameter.

You should be fine with just Buna-N at A70 or A50. Check just find the approximate size.
