Doesn't look that bad to me. Better pictures would be needed to evaluate better though.

MBZ Pickup

If I could have found a recommended pickup body after my 190D was crashed into, (no Chevy S-10 Bodies when you need one . . . damn!!!), I would have tried to convert the drivetrain for that purpose. I have also wondered what it would take to turn my 300D into a van, for camping, as well as work??? Any ideas? I can learn how to weld, real fast, or have gramps (journeyman welder) handle that part!!! Any ideas????

Kinda like a German El Camino

I can appreciate how much effort it is to finish off all the little details so if everything isn't perfect I can understand , I'm not much good at that myself. Not sure how the TUV testing will go for it either. Cheers Dan

Modifying the sedan body most likely will change the structural integrity if it gets in an accident.

It is a lot of work to pull it off and look right. I don`t like the way the rear windows are finished off.
