Mercedes W123 Airfilter Rubber Pipe

Hi, Recently we had our AC done up and the guy stole the rubber pipe/tip of the air filter housing would anyone know what its called or could anyone provide me with a part number?

PS: our AC seems to be having some kind of gas leak, it had just been gassed and it didn't last even 3 months there is no cool air, and the AC compressor does not hold any load, earlier when its on idle and the AC is turned on you could hear a little RPM drop. AC compressor clutch is working.
Any common problems?

Its been some time since I'd been here

Thanks Jeremy

I can't give you a part number as I'm not 100% sure what your air filter looks like...

Have a look on the "Russian" EPC it might help

I can seem to figure out how to use it, I also need the diagram of the alternator pulley to see in what order the fan and spacers and pulley go on to the shaft........ I'd be happy if you could briefly tell me how to use the site.... Thanks

PHil is phenomenal at figuring out parts like this. I'd call him (google's gmail has telephone capabilities now!!!)
we need to know what car you have and what engine is in it to assist you with the alternator setup.

Phil is most definitely the man.

The Russian EPC is a bit of a stripped down - well very stripped down - version of the real thing. It is sometimes good for part numbers if they happen to be the numbers corresponding to the first picture on the page. When you click on subsequent pictures you'll find that you quickly move away from the part numbers listed (as the part numbers don't get refreshed for the next pages).

The listings are started from this site

EverythingBenz - Mercedes-Benz Forum and Web Search Using Google

It isn't ideal but it is better than nothing if you don't have an EPC account (US citizens can use EPC for free so long as they only look up vehicles that were sold in the US - the rest of the world has to pay a subscription. (http://epc.startekinfo.com/) For Europe I think it is about 30 euros a car per year or something like that...)

But like John says it is probably going to be better to "just contact Phil".

Note the location of the Original Poster; Location: Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Do you need the part for a "Mercedes W123 Airfilter Rubber Pipe" 123 or is it the 1975 240D W115 version 3 (Australian car), shown in your signature?
Also what year?

Hi, the Air Filter part is for the W123 I'm sorry but I'm not certain about the year.... we think its a 1984 But I can give you the VIN number: 1232202A021387

As for the alternator it's just a standard bosch 55A alternator, I just need to know in what order the fan blade assembly and pulley go on to the shaft.....
(Since I'm a bit paranoid about originality)

Thanks Jeremy

Hi Whunter,

its not in any of the attached pictures.....
but it's similar to #92 in picture 3 only its like a snout and it points towards the radiator grill opening on the corner, sort of a more simpler version of the one in the picture...... like the one in this MERCEDES W123 E CLASS AIR FILTER BOX - APR | eBay

Thanks

This is just the bog standard non turbo air filter (small print => as far as I can see!)

Part 152 is a different shape and its just a hose... instead of a rubber snout, part 155 and 158 do not exist in the picture I posted.

Unless ours has been changed and the picture you posted is the correct one for the car? anyway they aren't the same.
The problem is the car had a re-spray so the stickers on the B pillar have been removed, so I can't give you the exact year of the car..... however I did post the VIN number if that's of any help.......

I believe that the part can be purchased here? I'd be happy to buy it from here too

Thanks

Mercedes often has the part number on the part itself.
Contact the eBay seller and ask him if He can see a part number on the Snout part of the Air Filter Assembly.
Or maybe He can say what year and model the Air Filter Assembly came off of.

Nope sorry that's not it either it dosen't look like the one on the e-bay pic I posted, I guess it could be a US spec thing..... however if it would fit my W123 I'll go for that instead
