NSS Electrical Question

I can't seem to get my reverse lights to work. I know that it usually means a bad NSS, but I've replaced it with a brand new one..adjusted the shift rod and replaced the bushings. All my other lights work.

I used my MM on the reverse light socket and it only read 0.6V while all the rest read 12.5V. So it appears to be "working" but the volts are not enough to power the bulb.

I'm still a novice at electricity....any idea why this is happening? I'd appreciate any help...I really want to get my lights to work...it's a safety thing.

Thanks,
Duke1

Loosen the NSS and move it through the adjustment range while someone checks for the reverse lights to come on. Find the center of the reverse light range by moving it slowly back and forth as someone calls out when they come on and turn off. Guess the center of the range and lock the NSS. That's how I set the NSS.

[edit] Or you bought a Uro brand NSS and it's living up to the brand's reputation.

Sixto,

Thanks for the reply..I will try that and see what happens. I don't know what brand it is off hand...but it's listed as OE.

Thanks,
Duke1
