w210 coolant hoses collapasing when engine reved

99 e300 td

i noticed that the 2 small coolant hoses are collapsing when i was reving the engine in the driveway. the one from the electric pump to the engine and the electric pump to the duovalve. everything else seemed to be normal.

any ideas what would be causing it? the hoses seem to be in good shape. i did buy new hoses but they seem to be as soft as the present hoses.

I rebuilt my duo-valve and I have a faint recollection that the valve is supposed to re-circulate the coolant when it's not feeding the heater cores. The rubber seals in my valve were swollen pretty badly. Yours may be in a similar condition although, I didn't observe the hoses collapsing.

im havin heat problems so i was taking the duovalve apart to change the seals like u did but they werent too bad. however i did notice that those lil brass valves are broke. im gonna just replace the duovalve all together.

What leads you to think the valves are broken?
