Made in West Germany
It was interesting to pull my original steering damper (car rolled off line in Stuttgart in 1990) and see West Germany stamped on it. A pre unified Germany artifact!

Some of the parts under my 1995 E300 hood are marked W. Germany. They must have had a back log of parts in the factory.
