1983 300cd 450k plus mileage woes.

This good old horse has been hauling the mail for sometime ,3 yrs as a regular driver, and still going strong but the suspention needs some help soon.Ive Had both lower control arm bushings replaced ,both inner and outer tie rods and center link replaced but still have some play ,it looks like I might be heading into the much more expensive parts like the idler arm and upper control arm bushings.Off the subject but Ill soon be doing a compression test soon just out of curiosity to see what my old horse still haves left in her.

upper control arms are not pricey, or difficult to change.
have you looked at the guide rods? how about the idler arm?

If you're only doing the compression test out of curiosity, it can't be that bad yet.... after 450k the old girl deserves a visit to the spa ....
