W124 wagon suspension advice?

NE roads and and worn out bumper-stops have finally done in my front shocks and mounts as well as a swaybar bracket. Both mounts are cracked and one has the top cap of the shock crammed into it! I've broken the swaybar bracket a few times before. Is there a 'better' version out there? Anyone have recommendations on shocks and mounts? Bumper stops? Most of the roads around here are rough or unpaved... Ground clearance is nice. Should I get thicker spring pads to increase the amount of travel I have?
