Anybody have a 1987 190D turbo engine vacuum diagram?
Need to sort out some vacuum issuses on my recently acquired 1987 190D turbo. I have a W124 2.5 turbo vac diagram but there's differences I can't seem to document.
Anybody out there with a 1987 190D turbo that could take/post a few underhood shots around the ALDA, injection pump, etc... areas ??? Thanks! |
for you man....I will take photos and post them tonight.
I will see you this weekend to pick up those tires too! |

Thanks. I can barely see the ALDA area in your photos and that's where I need to see the most. I hate asking for photos but in this case since I can't find a vac diagram or another '87 190D turbo, I don't have much else to go by.
I'll get it figured out somehow. As for those wheels and tires, they're waiting :) FYI: I MAY have to go to Charleston but you can still reach me and I can give you directions to pick up even if I'm not there, no big deal. Thanks again. |

What happened to the engine vacuum diagram sticky? Sixto 87 300D |
John got told off for having too many stickies - I think that one went west then...
We should have a new sticky that links to a DD moderated thread that is always closed that has all the stickies that once were (I think it is best to keep the thread closed to stop people like me from adding to it and messing it all up). |
I think it should be added to the General section of the DIY Articles page. No offense to Roy's hard work but I have difficulty navigating the DIY Links section.

sixto ~ Hey, that might be it.
THANKS! benhogan ~ My wife said you picked up the wheels & tires around noon today at the Yacht Club. Thanks, I'm gald you could use them. |
I've tried, I've tried, Lord lnows I've tried........ to get this vacuum stuff right. I thought I had it then no turbo boost. So I put it back where I thought it was but then it wouldn't shut off with the key.
I'm fed up. I can no longer subject myself to this nonsense. I'm putting a for sale post up. |

Tell your wife thanks for the tires. Much appreciated. |
Let's get the basics working then sort out the details. First thing to do is make sure a brown line is connected at 61b and a brown line with red stripe is connected at 6. That should reconnect the key and engine to turn off the engine. Next, run a line directly between 138 and 103 bypassing all else. That will give you an uninterrupted boost signal to the ALDA. Shifts might not feel right but we'll get to that.

I appreciate it guys but my mind is made up.

Sure, but why not pick up a couple more bucks for a turbo car with a working turbo and an engine that shuts off with the key? Does anyone believe that an AC system just needs a charge?
