Need help with engine mounts on 350sdl
 

I am trying to replace the engine mounts on my 350sdl.

I have the manual and the first thing it says to do is to remove the engine shocks.

I did that ok, and then it says to remove the bolts that hold the mounts to the crossmenber.

Well, I can only get to the outside ones. The inner ones are covered by the shield which doesn't come off.

This can't be that hard.

Its a pain but from underneath with a small socket it can be reached.
