why won't my 617 turn...
pulled the old trans, swapped the motor plate, and TC onto the new motor, bolted the trans to the motor, and cannot turn the engine...
what did the helper do wrong?

now that I think on it... it's possible he put either the flywheel in backwards, or the flex plate on the wrong side... although I don't think the tc-flexplate bolts would reach if that was it...

If that was actually the procedure used than you can most likely say goodbye to that tranny, the pump at least.

no, of course, the TC was set into the pump etc on the tranny prior to attaching them to the motor... but the TC got bolted in, and the trans as well. nothing has been started yet, the combo is on the shop floor... I'll pull the unit apart and find out what's up...
