W123 Trailing Arm Removal Question

Do I have to take the driveshaft off to get the bolts off the tailing arm?
Thanks.

I replaced the Drivers Side Rear Trailing Arm and did not have to disconnect the Drive shaft.

If you are completely removing the Trailing Arm you need to disconnect it from the Axle where the Axle goes through the Hub.

I did have to loosen the Front Sub Frame Bolt and let the Sub Frame drop a little in order to get one of the Bolts out. This is not a big deal unless the Axle end is rusted into the Hub.
Remove one Bolt, punch the Axle through the Hub (The Axle will Collapse side of itself to some degree and you may need to lower the Trailing Arm so it comes out of the Hub completely).

Simply measure the length of the Bolt and see what is in the way if the Bolt was pulled Apart that Far.
