Found 2 crack free 124 Dashes

Hey all you 124ites, I was at the Pick-n-Pull today. Spotted two crack free 124 dashes. A chocolate brown one from a 90 300E and a dark blue one from a 93 wagon. As far as I could tell they were both in perfect shape. If anybody is interested in these let me know I will go pull them.

I'm in Oregon. The round thing is the air cleaner lid, sitting on the outside of the windshield.

Forgot to mention that I also found a third seat in the wagon. Dark blue color, are the 124 third seats as rare as the 123 third seats?

I could use the blue one and have a Portland friend coming to me in California the latter part of February; he could p/u and deliver, saving us both hassle. Your price, please?

I don't think I'll be able to get back there until next weekend. I'll plan on going Saturday morning. It's not a high turn over yard so hopefully it will still be there. Anyone have the PDF for 124 dash removal. I might have it, all have to look through my CDs

No hurry. Try this link for a good tutorial on 124 dash removal. If you have time, consider "practicing" on a cracked dash before attacking a good one. The second one is always easier and practice may prevent accidental damage to a good dash.

Does airbag/no airbag make a difference for what parts you need and maybe the P-N-P price?

It looks like the '93 blue one has the air bag and the '90 brown one doesn't. Different parts for the glove box w/ or w/o the airbag?

Good point, my '87 doesn't have a passenger airbag and I don't want to lose my glove box. P&P will want more for the dash with the airbag, too.

Oh well, thanks for the offer.

From the outside, it would seem you can retro fit a glove box in there. I'm certain you can do it with a w126 dash, perhaps you can do it with the w124 using your original glovebox door and box.
