98 E300d drivers window down-won't go up

Help!
My son has my 98 E300D, 85,000 miles on it, in New Orleans and has to drive back to Atlanta. He got the car from the parking garage and the drivers window was mostly down. It would not go up, nor would the seat move. He has checked the window fuse and it seems to be good. What should he check???
HELP!!!!

Fuses are good. Front windows will not go up or down. Key fob will not make front windows move. Power seats are dead. Is there a relay that could be bad and if so, where do I start looking?

Locate the fuse for that window and replace it anyway ,Ive had good looking fuses that were not working properly .Wiggle it around to make sure its in place as you put the new one in .GooGLe your problem and see if you can get a match to your issue ,its worked for me in the past, youve got to love the WWW.

I found my answer for now. I disconnected the battery, which caused a reset, and now the windows and seats work again. Weird!!! Thanks Chasinthesun for the web lookup idea. I have done that in the past, just had a brain cramp.
