quality of Hamburg Tecnic?

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this company and/or has used their parts and what their experience was with quality, longevity?

I am looking for good guide rod mounts, and have been told to use germany made ONLY, the others wear out too fast, not a job I want to have to pay for again in a year or two
They appear to be out of germany or the name just has germay in it, on their website they also refer to using "trusted production partners"...some concern here

Anyone have experience with this company? or its parts?

Despite the name, I think these are Chinese. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln....

Not that it means much - but I've never heard of them.

I think it is worth pointing out that they are looking for distributors - kind of says new company to me.

I emailed the guy on ebay and asked where his parts are made....his answer
OEM or better...he did not answer my direct question. "Where are your parts made" sounds like a pass.....anyone found germany guide rod mounts? Other than the dealer?

Some people in the MB parts business that I trust have told me that the quality is not good....

That was enough for me to pass on the product.

I'd pass on Hamburg Technic for something as difficult to replace as a guide rod mount.

Did you ask Phil where the Febi mounts he sells are made?

You have to wonder about a manufacturer with the appearance of being based in Germany but without a German website

They're not on maps.google.de's list of businesses at the address:

I ordered from Phil and returned them...sorry Phil.
The ones I received were made in Italy.
I have been told that the ones you want are gold colored. Those are made in Germany and good quality, most of the stock pictures are gold, not the actual part.
The ones I received were silver NOT GERMANY made

Got a response...made in Taiwan....

I would go with Febi guide rod mounts, thats what i have in the 280CE, 3 years old now and no problems.

I put new Lemforder's(silver ones) in the 300D and sometimes one of them makes a pop noise if you flex the suspension in a abnormal way.

"Name games" are usually just that: an attempt to create the illusion that you are getting something that you are not.

Call the Mercedes Benz Classic Center in California. You would be pleasantly surprised that original Mercedes Benz parts are not much more expensive than the aftermarket parts. The person to talk to is Tom Hansen.
