I've never heard of a timing chain kit for an SDL. Not even the outfit in Bellingham who's trade name is treated like Voldemort's lists a timing chain kit for the 603. Talk to Phil at the Buy Parts -> FastLane link at the top of the page. You'll have a choice of MB brand or quality aftermarket parts and he'll know exactly what you need. Yes, you can pick parts from the catalog but it costs nothing extra for Phil's confirmation.

It sounds like you're doing a couple of jobs. You need a chain with permanent locking link, upper guide rail and tensioner for a basic job. The front of the engine has to come apart to replace the tensioner rail, other rails and oil pump chain. For the basic chain job, you need a tool to break the old chain, a tool to extract the guide rail pins and a chain crimper, besides basic hand tools. There's probably a tool to facilitate feeding the new chain. Tensioner spring and bolt suggest you'll be servicing the serpentine belt tensioner as well. If so, you'll need a tensioner arm which AFAIK comes with a bolt, a tensioner pulley and a tensioner damper. You don't need a spring unless yours is broken or severely deformed. For tools, you'll need a stubby 8mm hex bit and pulley holder.

Maybe you'd like to upgrade the engine vacuum pump while you're at it.
