Odd happenings in a row.
Hi, my 82-300d turbo was doing perfect, the the red ebrake light came on, it stayed on all day until a friend told me to try pushing buttons on brake reservoir.......I did and it took the red light off instantly.........then instantly my car starting "flairing" I think it's called in 3rd very lightly.
History has been perfect so far except for front brakes replaced. Never shifted any way but perfect until something happened in the brake area. The oddest part is I tried shifting from 2 to 3 manually and it shifts perfect every time. Opinions please ? I do plan to take it to my local mercedes person (he is good) but wanted to get some ideas from the pros first. Thanks, Revolverman |

When did my first Oil Change I leand on the Main Vacuum Line that goes to the Power Brake Booster and cracked off one of the little Vacuum Nipples. I did not know that until my Engine would not shutoff and I looked around to see why.
I suspect that you might have disconnected a Vacuum Line without knowing it.

New brake pads pushed fluid from caliper back up into reservoir screwing with the floats that control the light. While messing with the brake reservoir, you disturbed the orfice increasing vacuum to the vcv and causing the shift flare.
