A Heartfelt Thanks

To all you on this forum.
I have been wanting wanting a diesel for awhile (had an '85 ranger diesel for a little bit but on sold it - on my last trip the only that thing that was still working was the SVO system and the brakes), recently bought an '85 300td wagon and have not looked back. While smoking a cigarette earlier tonight, looking at the car I realized how I've fallen in love. After a new master cyl, brake hose, SLS valve rebuild, flex discs, center support bearing, plenty of electrical TLC, an odo/rheostat fix, diff fluid change, pending CV boot replacement, a trunk full of fluids and a glove box full of bulbs and fuses I can safely say that you guys as a group have saved me god knows how much money.

Could not have kept this gem of German engineering on the road without you!

Welcome to the Forum. Good to hear you saved one more wagon. every time you come back to the forum, there is always something else to learn, or a new project someone posts, that you didn`t know about, that now you have to install on your car.

My list of to do projects keeps getting longer and longer and......

Yeah the forum has saved me a bunch of money, wish I have found it years earlier.

You aren't going to try to kiss us now are you?

This forum is invaluable. I can't even imagine the money I've saved by doing it myself with help from folks here. I still learn stuff about these cars and I've been here for 8 years.
