Recaro Seats in a w124

Hi Gang-

I need to put a recaro seat in my 1992 300D. I say "need" because my back is killing me! I have read many posts about Mercedes seats, and I think it's time to upgrade. I spend a lot of time driving every week. My '91 M5 has a great seat (recaro), but I don't drive it much in the winter. The workhorse in the fleet is the w124. Heck the Dodge Ram has a better seat than the 300D!

So, here is the question.... Are there seat brackets available for the w124 anywhere or do I have to fab them up myself.

Any BTDT's?

Fred

Damn. I love the stock seats in the W124. Maybe yours just sucks? Have you sat in other W124 seats? Were they the same?
I find the W124 to be just a bit more comfy than the W123.

Often, a seat can be removed from its base, thus allowing for another seat to be adapted.

Best of luck.

I have had 3 w124's... some have been better than others. This one is OK. But the Recaro's are awesome. After driving 3 or 4 hours, you feel great. I must be getting old

Nah, like anything there is a butt for every seat. Clearly your's is happiest in a Recaro. Go for it.
