NEED CYLINDER HEAD FOR 1992 300D 2.5.....WOULD THIS WORK?

I have a 1992 300D 2.5 thats is at my mechanic's shop needing a head due to being cracked, I am helping him look for parts and have found one off a 1985-1987 190D 2.5 can anyone verify for me if this head would work on my car. The casting number off my head is 6020160801 and the one of the 190D is 6020160301. They are both 5 cylinder and just wondering if it would work since we are having a hard time finding a good used head. Thanks

Just a tip - check those numbers again.

Also check 'em in EPC (www.startekinfo.com)

Because Google - "the source of all information including the truth(eeeek!)" thinks the first part number you gave does not exist but the second one does...

Fair enough - I thought the 8 could be mistaken for a 3...

...I can't help so I'll shut up!

is your a turbo and the other one NA

It is a lot of work to convert a NA head to the turbo spec if it is indeed worth doing at all. Check first before making your decision. Cheers Dan
