jump start ac compressor

92 300D low on 134A freon compressor will not kick in. Is there a way to short wire it so it will take the freon?

Jumper the low pressure switch cut-out switch.

compressor does not need to be running to take in freon when you are out.

^ Correct. Just start adding and when the minimum pressure is reached, it fires up.

Of course if the system is empty you need to fix the leak rather than just keep dumping in more R134...

If everything is in proper working order, feeding freon on the low side until the low pressure switch actuates will engage the compressor and allow you to finish charging the system.

These cars have a sensor on the rear of the compressor that will shut down the system in the event of belt or clutch slippage. This probably doesn't factor into what you are dealing with right now, but just be aware of it. If the system were to not cool after being started, see if the compressor is turning, if not turn off the key and restart to reset the rotation sensor circuit.

Hope this helps,
Whip
