81' 300cd climate control heat only

regardless the position of the dash temp setting dial, im getting heat all the time. i'd be satisfied being able to use the climate control to blow in natural air and ride with the windows down on warm days... i do not have the owners manual... is my problem, operator error or system malfunction? thanks.

Re: monovalve - does the 81 have the monovalve or the "evil servo?"

Check PMs, read 83-500, 83-600, and/or 83-600a to address concerns about operator error.

Iam sure the 81 has the Servo.

Here is a manual that will tell you all about the system. It is one of Chryslers wonderful inventions, that MB bought into.

Both of my brothers cars (1981 300CD & D) have a monovalve, and not the servo. I would agree that the monovalve is the problem.
