New motor mounts now rattling from under shifter?

I had my motor mounts replaced, now there is a vibrational rattle when making left turns and driving in reverse coming from under my drive selector. This rattle was not there before the new mounts. I'm wondering if maybe the mechanic left out some bolts. It's interesting that it only happens when the engine rolls to one side as in making left turns and going in reverse. I took it back and they had no clue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Might be....hopefully

There is an engine stop at the back of the tranny, if I remember right, that is a rubber mount held by a flat metal bracket, fastened on with two nuts. You have to loosen them to tilt the engine up enough to replace the mounts. If not tightened, they would rattle in a manner similar to what you describe. (No I didn't do it, but it's not beyond me)

Turbod,

I had the same problem...it turned out to be the exhaust rattling against the bottom of the car. I had run over something, and with the engine back in the proper position it caused an AWFUL sound when turning. Bent the exhaust back and it went away. Just a suggestion!!!
