Digital Inspection Camera

Picked this up today at one of the Northern Tool stores in Charlotte -

Triplett CobraCam USB 2 Portable Inspection Camera, Model# 8105 | Electrical Tools | Northern Tool + Equipment

Out of 3 stores within reasonable driving distance, one store had ONE left in stock - I had them hold it for me until I could beat feet down there.

I was going to go by Harbor Freight and pick up a standalone unit they had for $99, but checking the specs on line I noticed the camera head had a diameter of 16 mm - and the combustion neck OD on the prechambers for a 603 is 15 mm.

Already hooked it up to the laptop and gave it a try - nice full screen picture in living color, at least equal to the built-in webcam on this 2 year old laptop. And you can capture video and stills to the hard drive.

When I'm done checking the engine, guess I could rent it out for DIY colonoscophys.

What are the three doohickeys in the lower left corner of the picture of the camera. That could be very useful.

Based on OD, it seems there would be substantial amount of material resisting it's use for a colonoscopy.

Magnetic pickup tool, curved hook, angled mirror - all of which can snap onto the camera head.

Hopefully this afternoon I can post some pics of what the insides of one of my cylinders looks like.
