How do you remove W124 air vents to replace vent bulb?

Hi,

I have a 1990 W124 300D that has all three air vent lights (left, center, right) that are not working. I would like to replace the builds that are located inside the air vents.

It seems that each air vent has clips that hold it into the dash. I tried to lift the clips and pull the vents out but I have not be able to do it.

How do you take the vents out without removing the dash? Thanks for the help!

Best Regards,
Louis
