Talking 240D Clutch Switch PN

1980 240D manual trans. Anyone happen to know the part number for the small switch mounted to the top of the clutch pedal?

I've tried every term I could think to search for but haven't come up with the right one... Mine is broke, otherwise I'd read the part number from it.

Thanks!

I don't know of any switch above the clutch pedal. All I can think of is, its from an after market cruise control.

Hmm... Maybe I didn't describe it well, I think it's the clutch safety interlock? Have to push the clutch in to allow the engine to start.

I'm actually converting my 300D to a manual transmission. The donor parts are all from said 240D. The pedal group has the clutch master cylinder and then a 2 wire switch that I thought was used as the above clutch safety. The problem is the plastic housing is broke and not holding the plunger down.

There is no clutch safety interlock on a W123.

Ok! Thanks for the info, I do appreciate it.

I guess it's not that important then.

Do you have a cruise control? Thats all I can think of that would use a switch up there. Ive never had a working (for long) OEM cruise but I dont think they have a switch there. Happy motoring
