w123 300TD rear passanger door seals?

Where can I find a set of the rear door seals (not the hatch) for the w123 300TD. I'm wanting to replace all 4 door seals and seem to be having an issue locating the seals for those 2 doors.

If it helps, P/N's are:
123 730 05 78 - left
123 730 06 78 - right

try a goolge search (delete the spaces in the P/N's for a more comprehensive search) or better yet call Phil

Google them. I've already come up with $64 ea, at another sellers web site. Of course that could be aftermarket vs oem. Only one way to find out.

You can try the dealer, or classic center in Irvine, CA.

IIRC the rear door seals on my sedan cost around $115, that little bit more may be for the extra rubber material for the slightly "longer" seal (due to the difference in rear door shape between sedans and wagons).

Found it at the Monterey, Ca MB dealer $123.20
Mercedes Benz WEATHERSTRIP - 1237300578

Also found at this Dealer in Ft. Lauderdale for $120.12
Mercedes-Benz Parts - Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale

Google is your friend.

Then there is the cheap Chicom stuff flooding the markets.

Thank you. That does help.

I think I'm going to wait a little longer and hope for magic unicorn and then break down and call the dealer. (Maybe ill find one at a PnP with good seals. Sigh.)

Rear door-seals

IF you find the rear footwells/floorpans flooded or constantly wet, the affected side will have a split in the door-seal approx 4 inches from the front edge of the rear door at the top above the window....
--Almost looks as though it was there, that the two ends of the seal were attached together.

Sometimes a quick superglue job can fix it...

Dunno where you would get new ones though...

i need new ones because i had to remove the old to repaint the door jams. They came out in many pieces, sadly.

i just had a brain storm today and i think i figured out a solution. At least for now.

Seeing that the 300td is essentially a 300d with a larger cabin, most everything below the window lines is the same on both cars. After doing some measurements i have come to the conclusion that the rear doors of the 300td and the 300d are identical except for the top rear corner. in this area the 300td requires more seal to accommodate a more square door.

so essentially, my plan is to buy a set of cheap Uro seals for a 300d and install them on the 300td. The seals should fit about 80% of the door. i am planning on splitting the seal on the rear edge , above the window line, and glueing in a piece of generic weather stripping that is readily available at my local upholstery shop. i have used this weather stripping to fix seals on my 240 before so i know it is a decent substitute.

if my measurements are correct this should be very simple DIY/mod. it will also save me a couple hundred bucks.

I will take pictures of the process and let you all know how it turns out.
