Question 300d, centrifugal governor stuck.

Ok so i have a 93 300d that stopped shifting up from 1. At first i was able to shift manually but now i cant. So i had already replaced the B2 brake band piston and a plastic clip on the other side of the brake band. i was thinking maybe the clip broke again but when i opened it up i found plastic floating in the fluid. then i take my valve body off and realize that my previous repair is just fine valve body seemed ok (i picked a few pieces of plastic out), but another plastic piece is broken, it was surrounding the centrifugal governor. its round and has grooves like a gear. i looked up here *** how to remove the governor and i have done everything it says removed all the shift linkage and the plug and removed the allen head bolts on the other side, i actually took the whole cover off the other side and the cover off the governor and it will not come out. if anyone knows anything or if this is even related to the no upshift problem please help me out.

Search for a thread started by ps2cho - he had 722.3 governor and secondary pump problems. Unfortunately the happy ending involved a new rebuilt transmission but there's loads of stuff in that thread that perhaps helps with the description in the ATSG manual.
