Cheapest B15 in PDX - For 1 Last Day possibly

4.09/9 a Gal.
76 Station on the corner of N. Killingsworth and N. Interstate

I filled up there today not realizing how cheap they where, till just now.
I talked to the Mgr, and told him they have the cheapest Diesel in Portland,
He told me possibly for the last day, he said he is suppose to be getting a call this eve (from who I don't know) about about possibly raising the price.

Yes, at the moment, fuel prices on the west coast are ridiculously high. That said, there are at least 3 other stations in Portland with lower diesel prices. I filled up on B99 for 4.09 at the pump this week, which nets out at 3.59 when I take my Oregon tax credit. That's about a half a buck less than the lowest RUG right now.

Hey John, move out here and you would think it is cheap.

The camel Jock here in Soquel has it at $4.49, cheapest around Santa Cruz is about $4.27.

Ya know, we have a shortage coming up next weekend. memorial weekend it always spikes.

Heard a guy on the radio a coupe days ago saying there are some refinery problems that is causing the price hike. YEAH RIGHT!!

My intention is not to argue, but didnt b99 go up to 4.19 a gal at all the stations in the Portland area?
How often to you get to take your Oregon tax credit?
Do you have to save your receipts all year?

I'm not here to argue either. I believe that the point you were making was that prices in PDX are pretty high right now, and I certainly agree. My points were that there are several other places selling B5 locally at the same price or lower, and that B99 is the best bargain going.

You may be right about the current price of B99. It was stable (at 3.99) for over a year, and only recently has started to increase. I only know what I paid for it last week, and it may well have increased again.

The tax credit is taken on your income tax return, so it is redeemed annually. I save receipts as supporting documentation (after a few years in business it becomes second nature), but the state doesn't require them with the filing. It isn't an instant rebate, but it still adds up to real money at some point.

Ive heard of it before but wasnt sure how to redeam it, or if it was even worth it? So do you get an actual $.50 per gal you bought back at the end of the year, or how does that work?

Also, is that Im not that savvy as to where all the Bio stations are around the Portland area, Is there a web site that lists the different stations selling Bio?
In not can you possibly enlighten me on a few I probably don't know about?
I would be much appreciated for the help.
Ones I know about: 181 & Stark, SE 7th by Grand Central, 60th & Lombard

I almost always purchase at the one on SE 7th, as it is most convenient for me, and the place is run by nice people. I'm not familiar with other dealers beside the one in Linnton. I think that you can locate all of them from the Sequential Fuels website.

The tax credit is easy. There is a line on the tax return for misc. credits, where you simply enter the code number for alternative fuels and the amount of the credit. You are allowed 50¢ per gallon of commercially purchased blends of B99 or higher, for up to 400 gallons a year per vehicle. If you owe money on your tax return, then you owe that much less. If you have a refund due, then it will be that much more.

The downside, in my experience, is a penalty on the fuel economy, roughly 7% figured over about 10K of mostly city and suburban type driving, when compared to mileage attained using straight dino or B5. While I'm happy to support local businesses and do the green thing, it's the bottom line that drives my decisions, and it still works out to be quite a bit cheaper to burn B99 when it is available.
