How does washer pump seal to washer reservoir?
I'm leaking washer fluid where the washer pump interfaces with the washer reservoir. What do I need to do to re-establish the seal? 1991 300D.
Thanks.

There is a round, rubber seal between the pump and reservoir. Replace the seal. Check for cracks or anyo ther thing that may leak while working in the area.

They are only a couple bucks at the dealer, and they should have them in stock as they fit many MB's. You can also get them from the online suppliers.

Thanks. I've located the part...costs all of 82 cents. So what do I do: gently yank the pump out, replace the grommet, and push the pump back in?

Yup, simple as that. Had to replace the grommet in my reservoir over the winter. Takes less than five minutes.
