Mercedes-Benz : 300 Series Mercedes-Benz : 300 Series | eBay

Someone is proud of their "restoration", I thought the Mercedes motoring cars were expensive.

Just because you spend a lot of money on a car doesn't mean that you can sell it for that much. Even though the short wheelbase model does have advantages (parking, fitting in the garage, etc.) most buyers considering this type of car would want an SDL, especially for that price. As to this car, I'd prefer one with fewer miles and a gray interior.

He is even throwing in a set of snow tires on rims remember. Combined with the best engine combination from mercedes at the peak of their technical development.

This to me is not reaching but plain old grasping. I suspect we will see another ad posted again after the current auction runs it's course.

Nice car but the asking price is simply absurd.

"This Mercedes now has the new and updated long block, with the updated high-strength connecting rods"

"As an example of when Mercedes was the best engineered on the road, during the time when their automotive technology was at their height, some consider this last and largest displacement inline six diesel the flagship of traditional German engineering."

Never ceases to amaze the shamelessness with which people arrive at conclusions in complete defiance of the facts.

Spin, spin, spin.

They all say the same thing: "this is the best color combintation, this is the best year, this has the best options." It all gets pretty monotonous.

The only thing entertaining about this "museum quality" (Really??) example is the price.

I own a '91 350SD. Yes, they are the rarest of the 126's, but that doesn't equate to any higher value. On the best of days, that car won't sell for 1/4 that asking price.
