Transmission - Regulator Pressure

I'm doing some troubleshooting and I'm reading to "check regulator pressure, if regulator pressure is too high, exchange centrifugal governor"

In Kent B's book, "61x Diesel Automatic Transmission Tuning for Peak Performance" he goes over the four types of pressure, Working, Governor, Modulating and Control, and says that governor pressure is measured while the vehicle is operated at certain speeds"

Does anyone know how to properly check and what the acceptable ranges of operation are?
