85 300D Shake/Vibration when turning off

Hello all, I have got an 85 300D that has recently developed a bad shake/rumble when I turn off the ignition. It seemed to shut off alot smoother until last week. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

I would guess its the motor mounts. My 240D did that as well before I replaced them.

I would guess that your vacuum is weak a d it is taking too long to shut off your engine, Maybe the vacuum shut off needs replacing, maybe it is a massive vaccum leak somewhere in the system

Yep, mine makes a bit of noise all the time and especially when shutting down.

My air cleaner mount looks like a Greek Letter Gamma instead of a Tau. One wing is broken off.

It's on my TODO list.

It could be the Vacuum Shutoff on the way out (or some other Vacuum Leak issue to inclued the Vac Shutoff Valve on the Steering Wheel Lock); the Engine Shock Mount Rubber no good, and/or Motor Mounts.
