Oil leak from compressor? Pics.
Gentlemen,
My W115 just came out of the shop for a front crank seal. My indie also found several missing bolts and nuts (power steering box, oil pan, etc.) that had vibrated loose over time. Previously, I was going through about 1 quart/800 miles. This is about half what I got when I first bought it last summer. Anyway, I went out to check this AM and I still had oil spots in the same general area as before. I pulled the car into the garage and took some pictures. Note the oil on the lower side of the engine block and the alternator. Check out the area above and slighlty behind the alternator in this pic. That appears to be oil in the area of be the compressor bracket and AC compressor itself. Is this possible? It's too soon to know if the new front seal fixed the engine oil issue. But the front of the engine around the harmonic balance is now bone dry and clean for the first time in probably many years.

Mercy bump.
From the looks of if it, the leak appears to be stemming from an oil drain on the compressor. Is that the case? Does anyone know what sort of tool is required to tighten it? It's hard to tell, but it looks like a square or 5 point bolt. I'd like to give it a turn or so without unbolting the compressor.

the old 109 service manual states if it is leaking oil then do not tighten it further but remove clean and reinstall with a fresh 'o' ring.
