1987 300TD Temperature Indicator - 4 or 5 pin?

Hi,

I have a 1987 300TD and I would like to replace the LCD temperature indicator located in the instrument cluster. Is the LCD unit a 4 or 5 pin unit?

Also, I have a 1990 300 (2.5TD) and I would like to also replace the LCD temperature indicator. Is the part for a 1990 a 4 or 5 pin unit?

Thanks for the guidance.

Best Regards,
Louis

only way to find out is to pull the cluster. I have an '87 and it had a 4. I just replaced mine this morning and put a 5 pin version in. I still need to wire it to the speed sensor.

The '90 should have a 5 pin.

I do have a spare 5 pin LCD temp display if you're looking to buy.
