Power antenna replacement W126 older to newer

Hi folks,

I need a little wiring advice. My original antenna (Auta 6000U Type:487 serial:103 07) the replacement is (Auta 6000EL F 487 serial:04 01 A 16 09 (126 820 03 75)). As some of y'all may know, the connector of the newer model auto antenna has smaller pins that are not compatible with the older style. I have the wiring harness for the new antenna and some bullet terminals to crimp onto its ends that will be mated with the existing antenna harness in the trunk.

I have read several articles about this but none have come up with real answers. I would like to know which pins do what on each model so I can wire the new unit correctly. Both are 5 pins. I want to have original functionality with the dash switch, etc.

Any help is appreciated!

Any suggestions? I'm getting close to wiring it 1:1 and hoping for the best. I really don't want to fry anything but I'm not electrically inclined enough to figure this out by testing with meters and such.

I just tested 12V to the motor and the antenna extends and retracts relative to polarity. Looks like I found a mechanically sound antenna. I just need help wiring it in.

I found a working 6000U and swapped it in. No need to do a conversion any more.
