Diesel Thermostat
Hey guys, on my car I recently developed a horrific fuel leak. As I inspected it I found that the source was the diesel thermostat.
OES GENUINE Diesel Fuel Thermostat,W0133-1603611 - PeachParts The leak is coming from the plastic fitting side and when I took the thermostat out I took out the retaining ring and found that there are some (or one) o-rings. Do you think replacing the o-ring will stop the leak? Does anyone know if I can buy just the o-ring anywhere? I'd really rather try this first than buy the $200+ hunk-o-metal. Thanks guys!

Some Members have replaced O-rings on it. However, I don't know if they were the specific ones you are speaking of.
I also don't know if the O-rings in the Harbor Freight Metric O-ring kit are the right size to fit or if they need to be ordered from Mercedes.

+1.
All you need is the oring. You may want to order another circlip while your at it in case you lose it. Just did this on my car too. Good time to replace the fuel lines there too.
