1986 190D: No Ignition Motor Shut Off After Oil Change
Hello. 1986 190D 2.5 (602), 5 speed, 186,XXX miles.
Immediately after an oil change, I have no ignition motor shut-off. Is this a coincidence (bad vacuum pump) or is there something I should look for or do? I have excellent oil pressure. If it is simply a bad vacuum pump, is replacement/rebuild fairly straight forward? Thank you.

Most of us have done this when changing the oil. You might have accidently bumped a vacuum line and it's come off. Take a look around the Injection Pump and any vacuum lines leading to it.

Exactly what happend to me.
During my first Oil Change I leaned on the main Vacuum Line and did not know I broke off one of the Vacuum Line Nipples untill I tried to turn my Car off. I was able to patch that up and it is still in the Car right now. Others have accidently disconnected or pinched some of the Vacuum Lines.
