I am currently in the process of putting together the pieces to reinstall a turbo on my 79 300D, and I need to know where the oil supply comes from on these engines. on all the Inline diesel's I have played with, the supply line comes off the oil filter block which is on the passenger side of the engine. Since it is on the opposite side on these engines, where does the feed come from?

If you have an original 79TD it never had a turbo to begin with. Yes, the line comes off the oil filter housing.

That's a misleading typo. I'll fix that in my sig. It is a 300 Turbo Diesel.

There were no 300d turbos in 1979. All 300D's were either W115 or W123 chassis. There was a W116 300SD turbo diesel in 1979.

I don't but the 123 chassis did not get the turbo until 80 or 81 in the wagon and 82 in the sedan. 116 chassis got it in 79.
