Klima's W126 300SD 617 Sanden A/C Conversion Kit
Here is a quick snap shot of the system. Just popped it with my mobile phone. I paid right around $600 delivered for it with a compressor ($200), hoses, steel fittings, etc. Their base kit is now $250 without hoses and fittings.
All items individually wrapped and in very nice shape. They even included a 14 page installation manual WITH a page of torque specs. Fantastic, now I do not have to waste hours finding torque for each piece! This showed about 10 days back but have been buy with the SD repairing a fuel leak and now it is CV boot time. Once that is finished I will install this system and post more information. It looks like an afternoon affair at best, it is well laid out and seems very simple to drop into place. Anyway, hope it helps some folks visualize what the Klima kit entails. I will post more pictures if anyone wants me to do so. Not sure if they want the instructions out there, I do not see why not, but if you guys want those scanned I am sure I could do that also.

I'm sure the installation materials are copyright, so I wouldn't suggest you put those out there without permission.

I'm a little out of my element when it comes to A/C hoses, but I was more than a little intrigued by a line of A/C hose and reusable fittings from XRP that I discovered when I was doing the research for my replacement oil cooler lines. The idea of reusable fittings that don't require crimping is one I can get behind as a DIYer.
Here is a sample of what they carry. I'm going to guess that to transition from the MB fittings to "standard" fittings would still take the services of an AC shop, but making up an adapter rather than making up lines would make future maintenance easy with no special tools required. For those interested, these fittings are on page 65 of their current catalog which is available as a .pdf file - XRP Catalog

That is my plan with the install. I just had a CV boot tear so I must tend to that before I dick with the A/C on this car, I do not wish to cause damage to that axle. Plus now I can use my big Astoria Flexx boot tool In any event, I will take pictures of all the hardware as I install it on the compressor, the block, etc. Do you think I should cover removal of the R4? BTW, does anyone want to buy a Compressorworks R4? I gave up on the stepped port design. I figured that with the kit picture, but they were okay with me posting it. I will drop them a note and see what they say. It may help potential purchasers visualize the extent of the install. It is easy to me, but could be a challenge to the novice.

Aftermarket parts manufacturers buy a part & send it out for copying. Keeping the destructions off the web would be difficult. Many post them on their site as a form of tech support.

Yup, I see it all the times with long tubes in the domestic performance arena. I dropped them a note on posting the instructions.

I am waiting patiently to see the compressor mounting photos. Is the stock R4 compressor bracket retained?

Nope. Going as fast as I can go. It is beyond hot outside so I can only work a few hours in the daylight and the rest is at night.
